Local Businessman and Children’s Book Author To Appear at Royal Oak’s Paper Trail Books, April 7Published March 19, 2018
Metro Detroit-based businessman, author and songwriter Andy Gutman will appear at Paper Trail Books in downtown Royal Oak on Saturday, April 7 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. His appearance will include readings of his two children’s books, Charlie the Caterpillar and Pop Lullaby, as well as entertainment by a local musician, who will perform the companion songs from both of Gutman’s books. Gutman also will sign copies of his books for attendees.
Gutman’s well-received 2017 book, Charlie the Caterpillar, is a story about having a positive self-image and loving yourself for who you are. It was conceptualized by Gutman’s daughter Riley and wife Lesley. Pop Lullaby, released earlier this year, is a 34-page bedtime story with vibrantly colorful, detailed illustrations that brings to life a tired father who is trying to soothe his wide-awake baby through song.
“My two children’s books resonate with parents and grandparents everywhere,” said Gutman. “They are fun to read to little ones and the pictures are enjoyable to look at. I look forward to sharing them and spending time with the families that join me at Paper Trail Books.”
Paper Trail Books is located at 414 S. Washington Ave. in Royal Oak.
